Portland, Maine loop - late August 2020

Youthful professor in her 50s seeks companions for an unsupported 7-10 day Maine tour starting and ending in Portland. (Good access to airports and train with roll-on bicycle service to Boston). Considering two routes: Coastal Maine up to Belfast and back (back via Augusta), or an inland circle stopping at Lake Sebago, Conway (NH), Franconia Notch, Newry, Gorham NH, Long Lake, and Freeport, before returning to Portland. Stay at inns/motels. 40-60 miles per day, c. 11-12 MPH overall speed. Must love taking breaks to enjoy snacks, coffee, and local flavor. Last week in August, 2020.
