La Paz Bolivia to Santiago de Chile

I'm mostly done with planning my next tour. This still feels pretty crazy because it's the first time that I am going to such an extent of risks (paying 1500 for the flight in advance etc.) building up a bicycle for myself. Last year I fulfilled the typical dream of any European bike tourer and drove to the north cape. For the next year, I wanted to go to southern America, so I've been spending a lot of time working whilst studying to earn enough to pay for the flight etc. I'm also thinking about maybe taking a vacation semester, but that is something I am able to decide whilst I'm there because I paid a little extra for possible rebooking on the ticket back home. My plan is to start in La Paz, Bolivia. From there I'm heading over several tracks which I found over various travelogues passing Salar de Uyuni, Altiplano, Paso Socompa and the Atacama Desert. I know for sure that I didn't pick out the easiest tour to go with, but I'm amazed by the track which lies ahead of me. For the time of the year, August, Bolivia seems like a good choice to start. Does anyone here have direct travel experiences with Bolivia / Chile and the regions I mentioned? Ideas and suggestions for me? Or is even possibly interested in joining? Any good resources and information are also very welcome. I need to say, personally, I am actually still a bit stressed out by the planning even though I know that it's going to be an amazing experience.
